J 1001919-1992Supreme Court of Judicature: High Court of Justice, Companies Court: Court Books
These were kept by the registrar to the Supreme Court of Judicature to record its proceedings. From 1976-1988 proceedings were also recorded by the Chief Clerk. From 1987 Registrars no longer took note of proceedings; this was delegated to associates.
Court books are no longer preserved. From 1993 associates used case numbers rather than parties to the case and as court lists were not included it became impossible to relate the notes to a speicfic case. The notes themselves also became less detailed.
