Henry VIII's Scheme of Bishoprics. The contents of this volume were privately printed by Sir Henry Cole in 1838. They are described in Calendar of Letters and Papers, Henry VIII, vol. XIV, part II, no.429 and vol. XVI, no.333. There are marginal corrections and cancellations made in this book which were probably made by a member of the royal household, some perhaps, by the King himself, or in the Court of Augmentations. The scheme covers Canterbury, Rochester, Westminster, Waltham, Winchester, Worcester, Gloucester, St Albans, Oxford, Peterborough, Ely, Burton, Chester, Shrewsbury, Carlisle, Durham, Gisburn, Thornton, Dunstable, Colchester, Bristol, etc. 94 folios
