This series covers GCHQ reports on the Soviet Bloc countries issued during the period 1945-1950 inclusive. The countries included in this series are Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Soviet Union (USSR), and Yugoslavia.
The reports cover the following: military, economic, state security and police. Some of the reports reflect the changes and upheaval in Europe following the Second World War including the establishment of communist regimes in a number of countries.
Reports whose serial number is preceded by 'T' are straight translations with analyst comments added, whereas reports whose serial number is preceded by 'C' are reports composed by the analyst from available information.
