The first three pieces in this series of Viscount Milner's papers represent the first transfer into it, and include the Doullens Agreement between Clemenceau and Milner of 26 March 1918. The remainder contains correspondence and papers belonging to the later years of Lord Milner's career when he was successively chairman of a Home Food Production Committee, 1915, a member of the War Cabinet, 1916-1918, Secretary of State for War, 1918, and Secretary of State for the Colonies, 1919-1921.
