Letter from Thomas Marriott, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union, to the Poor Law Commission, enclosing an amended pre-printed diet sheet for inhabitants of the Southwell workhouse and commenting on the fact that children and women share a similar diet. There is also a list of where copies of the diet sheets were sent. Also refers to the health of the children requiring relief and links this to employment. There is an annotation concerning the Poor Law Commission's approval.
