Indenture between (1) Thomas Morgan of Arkstone, Herefordshire, esquire, (2) Roland Watson of Lincoln's Inn, Middlesex, esquire, (3) John Griffithe, fourth son of late Hugh Griffithe, one of the six clerks of the Chancery, and (4) William Morres of London, gentleman. Considering doubts over the validity of the will made by Anne Griffith widow, late wife of the said Hugh Griffith alias Anne Griffith of 'Southland' in Denham, Buckinghamshire, dated 27 April 1579, which is not yet proved, the parties agree that Anne's 'mind and will' be carried out with some modifications, including stipulations relating to the marriage of Anne's daughter Susan. [Will recited in full; including directions for sale by her executors of her houses in Chancery Lane; bequests to her daughter Susan and her youngest sons Hugh and 'Rice'; her sons James and Ambrose; and to others (named).
