This series consists of representations of trade marks from the Patents, Designs and Trade Marks Office and its successors.

These include representations of all marks registered up to July 1938 with the exception of cotton marks which do not extend beyond 8 August 1933. Prior to 3 0ctober 1923 cotton marks were not reproduced except in certain circumstances.

In this series of Representations of Trade Marks:

Volumes 1 to 370 cover the lodgement of all Representations in London from 1 January 1876 to 30 June 1889, and of non-Cotton Representations from 1 July 1889 to 23 August 1890.

Volumes 371 to 486 cover the lodgement of Cotton Mark Representations at Manchester, 4 July 1889 to 8 August 1933.

Volumes 487 to 512 covered the lodgement of Cotton Mark Representations at Manchester, 9 August 1933 to 31 July 1938 (but the volumes are now wanting); and the unused balance of the band of Numbers: - unused owing to the introduction of new legislation in 1938.

Volumes 513 to 1387 cover the lodgement of non-Cotton Representations in London, 25 August 1890 to 26 July 1938.
