Catalogue description Assizes: North and South Wales Circuit, Chester and North Wales Division: Pleadings, Correspondence and Miscellaneous Papers

These include statements of claim, defence, counterclaim, etc., together with jurors' lists, cause lists, associates' papers etc. arising out the civil business of the circuit. The actions commenced in the central courts of common law and passed to assizes for hearing at nisi prius. After 1875 they passed to assizes from the High Court of Justice, usually through the District Registry.
