This series contains summaries details of Orders in Council from the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC). An order can be an interim or final decision of the court normally set out in a formal court document. Each volume is chronologically arranged covering a number of years. Each volume has a contents section at the beginning detailing: date of Council; page number in the respective volume for the start of each sitting; an alphabetical index by appellant's surname (naming respondents) and page numbers where they are to be located in the volume. The volumes then continue on each page opening detailing: whence (which dominion / colony the appeal originated from); parties (names of appellants and respondents); name of the court appealed from; date of decree of the JCPC; date of the arrival of the transcripts; names of solicitors for the appellant and the respondent parties; notes and observations. |
