War Office: Central Mediterranean Forces, (British Element): War Diaries, Second World War
This series contains the daily record of events, reports on operations, intelligence summaries etc, of headquarters formation and unit commanders of the British element of the Allied Force, which invaded Sicily in July 1943, and landed in Italy in September 1943. Also of British units in the Balkans and Greece and of British occupation forces in Austria.
The series is arranged in the order of headquarters formations and areas followed by units of the Royal Armoured Corps and other arms of the service, not in order of precedence.
