War Office: Distinguished Conduct Medal, Submissions to Sovereign
The medal and gratuity were instituted by royal warrant of 4 December 1854 for award to sergeants, corporals and privates for distinguished service and gallant conduct in the field. This series comprises submissions to the Sovereign for approval of awards.
