The ALM file series was opened for the use of the various divisions dealing with land management. The series is concerned with the administration of schemes and statutes for the use and management of land; acquisition, betterment and compensation and the serving of directions and dispossessions. The records of the Agricultural Land Service are also included and there are some files concerning the Crichel Down Inquiry and the eradication of bracken.
